Numarine, the renowned builder of efficient explorer yachts, has launched the second hull of its 30XP model. Exactly like her sister ship Minella, which made its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, this new superyacht features a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion, same layout and features. The main differences between the two are the new unit's more classic, all-white paint scheme and its different interior design, which features predominantly white and beige tones with some dark accents.
Filling a neatly defined mid-sized gap in Numarine’s line-up, the 30XP takes its place within a seven-strong fleet spanning 22 to 47 metres. As with previous models, Can Yalman is the principal designer for both the exterior and interior, with the raised pilothouse layout chosen for its highly efficient use of volume.
All about the space
With a substantial internal volume of 213 gross tons, the layout of the 30XP is flexible enough to meet a wide range of owner requirements. This is also a yacht that embraces outdoor living, offering ample deck space — from open-air dining on the aft deck to relaxed lounging on the shaded sundeck. The design places a strong emphasis on forging a seamless connection with the sea.
One highlight is the private balcony accessed from the master suite, an ideal spot for taking in the serenity of secluded bays. Guests can also enjoy the yacht’s semi-open beach club at the stern, where generous headroom and fold-down bulwarks expand the area to 46 square metres, creating additional space for watersports and swimming.
A side-loading tender garage to port accommodates a 5.65-metre diesel tender. The beach club’s airy feel is made possible by raising the deck above, which also creates a unique lounging area accessed via just three steps from the main deck offering the experience of a platform suspended above the water.
Completing the exterior spaces is the expansive flybridge, which rivals that of larger yachts in both size and features. There is space for a wet bar, and the side decks lead forward to a sunpad area.
Home on the sea
On the main deck, sliding doors aft and to starboard open the main saloon to the outdoors, ensuring a smooth transition between interior and exterior spaces. Full-height windows frame the sea views and bathe the space in natural light. The master cabin occupies the prime forward position on the main deck, maximising both privacy and panoramic views. Guest accommodation is located on the lower deck, comprising four large en suite cabins. All benefit from large windows that flood the rooms with light and offer seascape views.
Remarkably, even when cruising at 7 knots, sound levels in the guest cabins remain below 40dBA. In the master stateroom, it's quieter still — just 38.1dBA — quieter than a soft rainfall. This class-leading noise reduction is thanks to Numarine’s collaboration with Silent Line.
A crew of four plus the captain ensures excellent service standards.
Ready for adventure
Power to the 30XP can be provided by either a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system or a conventional drive train comprising twin 560hp MAN engines. Both give the same maximum speed of around 13 knots and a cruising speed of about 12 knots. The 30XP has an estimated range of 3,500 nautical miles at an economical speed of 8 knots.
The second 30XP is the hybrid version, twin electric engines draw their power from 4 x 108kW diesel generators. Electric motors are highly efficient compared to conventional engines, especially at lower RPMs, while multiple smaller generators allow the boat to switch them on and off as required. This setup significantly improves onboard comfort by reducing noise and vibration, particularly at lower speeds. Optional solar panels can also be added to the hardtop.
In addition to the propulsion, Numarine remains committed to sustainable yacht building. Eco-friendly materials are used wherever possible, and energy efficiency is optimised across systems on board. Each yacht is also fitted with waste management and recycling systems designed to minimise environmental impact.
Further enhancing the onboard experience are advanced stabilisation systems for smoother cruising, integrated automation and control systems for ease of use, cutting-edge navigation and communications technology, and smart-home features for seamless connectivity and convenience. These innovations elevate performance, safety, and comfort, offering owners a truly state-of-the-art experience.
